Since purchasing our Datron machining center we have been able to produce our molds in approximately one-half the time. We were previously using a semi-automatic machining center. This machining center has not only helped us to produce our molds in record time, it has also eliminated most of the burs. The Type3 software allows us to remove all sharp corners which produces a better mold for us. This machining system allowed our tool shop to reduce its number of employees from six to four. We also reduced our shop time from 70 hours per week to 40 hours per week. The production in this 40-hour week exceeds the production of our previous operation in a 70 hour week. The employees at Datron Dynamics, Inc., are wonderful to work with. The few problems that we have experienced (most due to operator error, I might add) have been resolved expeditiously. Their knowledge and willingness to share this knowledge has been very helpful to our company.
