Welcome to the Datron Dynamics Photo Zone:
We pride ourselves on the quallity of our photography. We have a state-of-the-art studio at our corporate office where President, Walter Schnecker, Ph.D. is able to shoot dynamic photos of Datron machines in action. These on-site resources enable us to accommodate the special requests of journalists and publications -- providing them with quality images that correspond with particular editorial content. If you have a special request or question, please contact us directly at 888.262.2833. |

| VelociRaptor Bed: The velociRaptor features a 2kW, 60,000 RPM spindle, feed rates up to 1000' per minute and a workholding setup comprised of a beveled boss-in-cavity system. |
Chips Fly: A 1/4” high-speed cutter (HSC+) flies through 6061 aluminum sheet thanks to Datron's standard 60,000 RPM spindle. |
Ethanol Coolant: A thinner-than-water viscosity, allows ethanol to quickly covers and cools more surface area (than oil) on fast-moving micro tooling. |
| Z-Correction Probe: This Probe recognizes irregular topography and compensates for it dynamically by taking measurements along the surface and feeding data into the machining controller. |
Renishaw TP20 Probe: This omni-axis probe is ideal for complex part measurement like engraving a logo onto a rounded surface. The 6-way, kinematic, touch-trigger sensing significantly improves cycle times. |
Nested (Batch) Machining: The VelociRaptor, has a large bed that delivers 40” x 27.6” x 9.6” of machining area that accommodates workholding and facilitates nested (batch) machining. |
| Cut-Away: A "cut-away" option (or open notch at the front of the bed) allows for the vertical mounting of parts a technique normally restricted by a gantry-style machine. |
EcoRaptor: The EcoRaptor's large work area of 40" x 27.5" x 9.5" allows you machine larger parts or nest many small parts for higher volume production runs |
| The EZRaptor :Ideal for panels, machining plastics and rapid prototyping, this entry-level machine was designed to give manufacturers a cost-effective entre to the world of high-speed, micro-machining. |

| Automatic Tool Management: Datron's tool checker is a mechanical sensor that measures tool length and can detect a broken tool. The software can be programmed with a macro to initiate a tool check at regular intervals. |
OmniRaptor: With feed rates up to 800 i.p.m. the OmniRaptor produces optimized cycle times making this machine ideal for high-volume production schedules. |
VelociRaptor: The VelociRaptor provides blistering feed rates up to 1,000 i.p.m. When close tolerances and optimized cycle times are a necessity, the VelociRaptor is the only answer. |

| 3D Probing: Datron's probe locates parts and material irregularities in the X, Y, and Z co-ordinates, finds centers of holes and bosses, pre-measures blanks and compensates for material variations. |
excelsiorEX: For applications like engraving stainless steel and machining small parts from plastics or aluminum where tight tolerance and accuracy are of paramount importancethe excelsior EX provides an affordable entrée to our elite Excelsior Class . |
excelsior: The excelsior engraving and milling system offers an extremely stable, compact machining area for applications requiring tight tolerances and perfect surface finishes. |

| VacuMate: With our VacuMate (vacuum table) even parts with minimal surface area can be batch-milled from thin substrates and held in place during machining. |
Workholding Suite: A range of workholding solutions are available for Datron machines. here, a pneumatic clamping system allows for a quick setup that holds blanks securely, our VacuMate (vacuum table) secures parts with minimal surface area during machining and lightweight Quick-Pallets improve repeatability on jobs with frequent change-over. |
| excelsiorGR: Designed for graphite and other abrasive materials, the excelsiorGR has covered linear guides and ballscrews with positive air flow to ensure that no abrasive materials can get into the motion mechanics. |
