The EZ Raptor is our entry-level Raptor® that provides the basics of high-speed machining at a price that suits even the smaller shops. This machine comes standard with a 1.2kW 30,000 RPM spindle and a 3-tool, “station-style” automatic tool changer (ATC) with tool-length sensor. The EZ Raptor’s large work area of 40” x 27.5” x 9.5” provides something that most other entry-level machines don’t namely the ability to go from prototype to batch production on the same machine. This system is ideal for any manufacturer who wants an elite Datron Raptor® Class high-speed machining center but is restricted by budget. Good for small front panels & nameplates. |

A step up from the EZ Raptor, the EcoRaptor takes this chassis to the next level with a 60,000 RPM spindle and a 10-tool changer. Its large work area of 40” x 27.5” x 9.5” allows you machine larger parts or nest many small parts for higher volume production runs. The machine bed is a revolutionary polymer-concrete design that offers extreme stability and durability. This machine comes standard with a 600 watt (3/4 hp) 60,000 RPM spindle and a 1/4” collet. Feed rates up to 600 i.p.m. provide superb cycle times for most processes. The standard 10-tool, “station-style” rack with tool-length sensor can be upgraded to an optional 20-tool station for added capacity. This system is ideal for panel machining, general electronic industry manufacturing like electromechanical parts, nested machining, aerospace profiles and extrusion machining up to 40" in length.

The OmniRaptor has all the bells and whistles to meet the demands of a dynamic manufacturing environment. Feed rates of up to 800 i.p.m. produce optimized cycle times making this machine ideal for high-volume production schedules. The 2kW (2 3/4 H.P.), water-chilled 60,000 RPM spindle has the torque to handle even the most challenging workpieces. The 5/16" diameter collet and heavy-duty design can handle serious workloads and optimize cycle times. A standard 15-tool "station-style" rack with tool-length sensor can be upgraded to an optional 30-tool station for added capacity. Faster feed rates, stabilized gantry, integrated pneumatically covered tool magazine, LCD flat-panel display, polycarbonate side windows and a removable chip cart on wheels are just a few extra features that distinguish the OmniRaptor from our other models. |

VelociRaptor puts the "ZOOM" in high-speed machining. Our fastest and most accurate Raptor, this machine provides blistering feed rates up to 1,000 i.p.m. When close tolerances and optimized cycle times are a necessity, the VelociRaptor is the only answer. A water-chilled 60,000 RPM spindle and a laser calibrated guidance system insures tight tolerances and accuracies within ±0.0005" over a 30" x 40" working area. Plus, with spindle runout of less than 5 microns, this machine is the clear choice for micro-drilling applications. | This compact machining system is the same as the excelsor accept with an added protection kit for machining hazardous materials. Covered linear guides and ballscrews with positive air flow ensures that no abrasive or harmful materials can get into the motion mechanics of the machine. Sealed housing for all motion control electronics and motors also insure contamination of the machine control system. The full enclosure complete with safety lock is equipped with a connection to an air flow system for dust extraction. A range of workholding solutions can integrated into any Datron machining system. With our Vacumate (vacuum table) even parts with minimal surface area can be batch-milled from thin substrates and held in place during machining. Datron's lightweight Quick-Pallets use a beveled boss-in-cavity system to register parts in X, Y & Z for improved repeatability on jobs with frequent change-over. The pneumatic clamping system allows for a quick setup that holds blanks securely.

The ability to view or write new programs during machining, run other software simultaneously as a machine is milling or download large files through a company network, are just a few examples of the dynamic capabilities of Datron’s Microsoft® Windows®-based control software. Additionally, via a standard Internet connection, a user can remotely diagnosis the machine or monitor the machine’s activity ... anytime, anyplace. A report function allows a user to ask questions or report problems by simply typing a message in a dialogue box, and sends the report via e-mail to a Datron service specialist directly from their machine. This report includes all the error message files, system files and .ini files from the machine, which allows Datron service specialists make a diagnosis and quickly provide a solution.
